The Old Town of Goslar
The Old Town of Goslar is, alongside the Rammelsberg, the touristic drawing point on the northern Harz rim. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to be captivated by the richly ornamented wood frame (Tudor-style) houses, the churches and guildhalls. Many of these imposing buildings would never have been built if the Rammelsberg ore deposits had not existed. A small selection of the numerous buildings clustered close together in the Old Town and having a relationship to the mines follows: Imperial Palace
Market Church
St. James Church
Frankenberg Church
Town Hall
Kaiserworth
Brusttuch
Treasury
Market fountain
Almshouses
