Traditionally on the third weekend of Advent, December 13th and 14th, 2025, you can experience the mining museum in a very special atmosphere. A Christmas market awaits you above and below ground with regional handicrafts, culinary delicacies and a varied stage and entertainment program for the whole family.
Entrance tickets for the Christmas market are valid for the underground and above-day areas of the christmas market. Purchased tickets for the Christmas Rammelsberg cannot be canceled.

Note: There are no time restrictions for visiting the Christmas market above and below ground.

Important information about admission and ticketing
In order to optimise admission, visitor flows and the utilisation of the Park & Ride service and to ensure you have a pleasant visit, you can choose between two admission time slots when purchasing tickets for the Christmas market:
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Please note:
The selected time only refers to controlled admission. Your length of stay at the Christmas market is independent of this.
Example:
If you purchase a ticket for the 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. time slot, you can of course stay at the Christmas market until 6:00 p.m.
For visitors with a fixed appointment for the tour of the Roeder Tunnel, the following applies:
Please arrive about 30 minutes before your tour and register at the museum ticket office.
Only the stated admission prices apply. Vouchers and discounts are not applicable.
Please note: Combination tickets for the tour of the Roeder Tunnel may be sold out at the box office. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance!
Getting there & parking
This year, a free Park & Ride service is again available to ensure a convenient journey.
There are numerous parking spaces available on Alte Heerstraße where you can leave your vehicle. Buses stop at a total of five stops in Baßgeige every 15 minutes. From there, you can get to Rammelsberg quickly, comfortably and free of charge, and then back again.
The first bus departs at 10:30 a.m. on both days
‘Alte Heerstraße’/Baßgeige. The last departure from Rammelsberg is at 7:00 p.m. back to ‘Alte Heerstraße’/Baßgeige.
Please note: Access controls will be in place on Rammelsbergerstraße during the event weekend. You can only reach the event site with the free P+R service. There are no parking spaces available at the museum!
How do I get there by bus from Goslar station?
Goslar station is located on the edge of the historic old town, close to the pedestrian zone. This means that almost all of the sights can be reached on foot after a short walk when arriving by train.
Additional Park & Ride bus: From Goslar railway station, another free bus to Rammelsberg will run every 30 minutes from 10:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
You can reach the Christmas Rammelsberg from there by taking bus line ‘803 – Bergbaumuseum’. Please note that the bus line departs from the station forecourt. You can find the timetable at: www.stadtbus-goslar.de
The bus ride is free of charge upon presentation of a valid event ticket!
Please note: Bus line 803 is not included in our Park & Ride service. The fares of the Braunschweig region's integrated transport system apply if you do not have a valid event ticket.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Dogs are not allowed on the festival grounds or in the museum. Assistance dogs are exempt from this rule.
Is the event accessible?
The above-ground and underground Christmas market is suitable for visitors with mobility aids, e.g. wheelchairs or walkers.
For safety reasons, the tour of the Roeder Tunnel is not accessible with mobility aids.
Are there regular tours of the Roeder Tunnel, the mine railway or the ore processing plant at the Christmas Rammelsberg?
The Christmas Rammelsberg is an annual traditional event. For this reason, no regular tours are offered.
From Tuesday, 16 December, all tours from our programme will be available again.
