Christmas Market above and under ground
Traditionally on the third weekend of Advent, December 16th and 17th, 2023, you can experience the mining museum in a very special atmosphere. A Christmas market awaits you above and below ground with regional handicrafts, culinary delicacies and a varied stage and entertainment program for the whole family.
Look forward to alpacas, reading times with Santa Claus, glass blowers casting tin figures, raffles and much more!
If you want another highlight, then book the combination ticket for the Christmas market above and below ground with a tour through the brightly lit Roeder tunnel. Please note that combination tickets are limited. Entrance tickets for the Christmas market are valid for the underground and above-day areas. Purchased tickets for the Christmas Rammelsberg cannot be canceled.

What are the opening times at the Christmas Rammelsberg?
You can visit our underground and above-ground Christmas market on Saturday, December 16th and Sunday, December 17th from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The tour through the Roeder tunnel, however, only takes place at certain times. Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. you can take part in the approximately 30-minute experience with a “combination ticket”.
*Please note that tickets for the tour of the Roeder tunnel are limited. However, visiting the Christmas market above and below ground is not tied to any specific times.

*Please note that tickets for the tour of the Roeder tunnel may already be sold out at the box office as they are only available to a limited extent. We therefore recommend purchasing tickets for the tour in advance.

*Please note that no vouchers or discounts on admission tickets are granted at the Christmas Rammelsberg. Only the admission prices mentioned above apply.
What is the best way to get there?
We recommend that you travel by public transport. If you decide to use your car, please use our Park & ??Ride Service, Osterfeld car park. Our free shuttle is available to you from the Osterfeld car park. The shuttle runs to Rammelsberg and back every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. The last departure from Rammelsberg is at 7:00 p.m. It is not possible to travel directly to Rammelsberg by car on both days. If you would like to take a walk through the old town towards the Rammelsberg, then you are about 25 minutes from your destination.
Where can I park?
To make your journey easier, we recommend that you use the free Park & Ride service on December 16th and 17th. Free parking spaces are available for your vehicles at Osterfeld. The first shuttle leaves from Osterfeld Goslar at 10:00 a.m. and the last shuttle from Rammelsberg at 7:00 p.m. The shuttles run every 20 minutes from Osterfeld to Rammelsberg and back again.
*Please note that the access to the museum at Christmas Rammelsberg is closed and there are no visitor parking spaces available on site. The regular bus line 803 and the World Heritage Shuttle 809 are not included in the Park & Ride offer and are therefore subject to a charge.
How do I travel by bus from Goslar train station?
You can take the line in the forecourt at Goslar train station “803 Mining Museum” can travel comfortably to us. You can find the timetable at: www.stadtbus-goslar.de *Please note that bus route 803 is not included in our Park & ??Ride service. The fares of the Braunschweig region network tariff apply.
Can my dog accompany me?
Unfortunately, accompanying your four-legged friends is not permitted. However, assistance dogs are allowed.
Is the event barrier-free?
Visiting the above-day and underground Christmas markets is suitable for visitors with a mobility aid, such as a wheelchair or walker. For safety reasons, the tour through the Roeder tunnel cannot be walked with a mobility aid.
Are there regular tours of the Roeder tunnel, the mine railway or the ore processing at the Christmas Rammelsberg?
The Christmas Rammelsberg is a traditional annual event. For this reason, no regular tours are offered. From December 18th, all tours from our program will be available to you again.
