After the birthday boy or girl has been greeted by all of his/ her guests with a sonorous „Glückauf!“, the children enter the 200 years old Roeder Gallery. Underground, the challenge is to find the hidden treasure and simultaneously learn the miners' language. This is important, because the children will find specific mining traces while exploring the underground world: enormous water wheels which Chief Mines Inspector Roeder had built into the mountain. Miners used them to hoist the ore from the depths of the mine and to drain the pits as well. But what is the so- called ore, and why was it of such a value? And what is the name of the colorful droplets on the galleries' walls?
Questions are specifically welcome, and with some tips and hints our young guests can find the answers all by themselves. Even though time seems to fly by during this tour, the treasure hunt will be the crowning finale!
We will not reveal which treasure is hidden in the depths of our mine, but we can assure you that every child will take a piece of it home after the tour.
