The Munich photographer Judith Fait, who grew up between an artists' colony and coal mining, has a passion for the technology and architecture of mining. While studying engineering, the old machines in the German Museum often seemed more interesting to her than the lectures.

The machine halls of the mines uniquely combine both areas of interest in one place. Judith Fait has photographed machine halls all over Europe. Her photographs show the unique aesthetics of huge technical systems and their purpose-built hall architecture. The special exhibition is presented in the power center built in 1906, the heart of the energy supply of the former Rammelsberg ore mine.

Access to the exhibition is included in museum admission.
