The Roeder Stollen gallery was named after its creator, the Chief Miner

Johann Christoph Roeder. The system, with its water-transport tunnels, water wheels and shafts is a complex network that is more than 200 years old and significantly boosted mining capability in the 19th century. On the tour, you will follow the route taken by the water, which provided the energy for mining and set the gigantic mono-directional and reversible water wheels in motion.
