The cultural history exhibition at the Rammelsberg is located in a former storage building. Based on the 1000-year history of mining at the Rammelsberg, the exhibition explains the effects of the miners' work on their lives and how it permeated all aspects of their social life, the local economy and the technology, so that mining heavily influenced the entire culture of the Harz region.
The museum buildings are open daily from 09:00 onward.

On the first floor of the storehouse you can find our permanent exhibition Worlds of things: touch - try - be amazed.
Things determine our everyday life. Sometimes we use things for years, sometimes just for a brief moment. If things are no longer needed, they end up in the garbage, in the storage room, in the attic or in the basement. Only a few of the things that are no longer needed are sent to the museum. Here things become exhibition objects: the exhibits.
